Spa Nuxe and restaurant Gaya in Chatelaillon: the Grande Terrasse opens its doors to us!

10 years of marriage, that’s worth celebrating! To mark the occasion we offer ourselves a little pleasure outside Paris: 3 days of dream in the heart of the Grande Terrasse. An exceptional place for an exceptional date. Reception, Nuxe spa and Gaya restaurant in Châtelaillon, our best friends have tested it, it seems that it’s great. It’s our turn!

A royal welcome

As soon as we arrived in Chatelaillon, we are surprised by the charm of this small city of seaside. Simple and elegant, exactly what we were looking for!

We stroll between the pretty colored houses before going up on the cliff which overhangs the bay and there… what a view! We already enjoy ourselves.

The reception at the hotel is of the same level with the appearance of the director Mr. Monin. He reserved us a surprise: a glass of champagne on the terrace facing the sea, to toast our 10 years of marriage. As for our room, it is a small cocoon in shades of blue, as a reminder of the nearby ocean.

The rest is pure relaxation…

Let’s meet in our Nuxe suite, privatized for the occasion, to be pampered side by side. After a relaxing 4-handed massage, we choose to bask in the bubbles of the jacuzzi. A real pleasure.

Our favorite is still the multi-sensory shower and its different atmospheres. We will remember for a long time our passage in the tropical islands!

We finish by a few swims in the purified decoration of the Nuxe Spa and a tête-à-tête with the sun in the outside Jacuzzi. Impossible to test everything this morning… We reserve the magnificent hammam for tomorrow.

Top, there is still a place at the Gaya bistro in Chatelaillon! After a quick look it will be beef tartare for me and penne with arrabbiata for Madame.

In the afternoon program, lazing on the false beach arranged on the promontory of the hotel. We love the idea, and the installations are very comfortable.

Day 2

On the advice of locals we leave to discover the village of Boucholeurs. We are not disappointed...

This ancient hamlet has defied time and preserved the soul of the sea. Not to mention the visit to the oyster beds reserved by the hotel and the tasting at the Saveurs Nacrées hut!

In the evening, we are elegant for the summer beach party which takes place on the terrace of the hotel. It is the appointment of the summer not to be missed.

Day 3

We could not leave Chatelaillon without having made a turn to the market. It falls well, we are Friday! We fill up with sweets and specialities for our friends, of which the essential bottle of Pineau Charentais.

The afternoon is devoted to the visit of La Rochelle. In 15 minutes hardly from here, it would be a pity not to take advantage of it… We shall return, but in the Ibis hotel for a cure of thalasso this time.
