Independent bookshops join forces with Secours Populaire for the latest edition of the "Donnez à lire" operation. Give a book to a child who doesn't have one.
The principle is simple: between October 17 (World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty) and November 20 (International Children's Rights Day), customers of independent bookshops are invited to add a children's book to their purchases and hand it in to their bookseller.
This book will be offered to a child or teenager accompanied throughout the year by Secours Populaire teams.
