The week has been long and everyone is delighted with this beautiful escape to Chatelaillon! Sneakers for the older ones and bikes for the little ones, we left for a 2 hour walk along the sea. Between two pedal strokes, the whole tribe breathes at full lung the pure and iodized air of the sea. A real pleasure!

The lunch break?
It happens inevitably at the Bain des Fleurs, the historic creperie of the resort. Facing the ocean, everyone falls for his favorite on the menu. A springtime, an Andalusian and a chef’s martinette! When it’s time for dessert, no one can resist a last sweet…
In the afternoon, it’s off to the beach where the kids have the time of their lives. Snowshoes, balls and giant sand castles, the sand becomes an inexhaustible playground.
Until the tide comes in! This is the sign to join friends for an aperitif. Everyone meets at the Bistrot du Port to toast the end of this beautiful spring day.
In summer, we take a liking to idleness

For that we choose the big beach of the resort. It will be perfect to let the children play safely. We consult the tide tables, we find with them the nearest animal-totem and everyone goes to his activities!
The big kids run in the water, the little sailors look for shells and daddy tests his balance on a paddle rented at the nautical center.
Stomachs are rumbling?
Direction Little Havana for a lunch iodized feet in the sand. The view is top and we treat ourselves with a simple dish, fried mussels for everyone, a treat. We take advantage a maximum of the beach before meeting with the friends for the picnic of the evening.
Good, fresh and organic food (found at the Boucholeurs market): we put the tablecloth on the sand and we enjoy together facing a superb sunset.
In autumn, we go green with a Sunday 100% Nature
Chatelaillon for a day, it’s the good plan of the people from La Rochelle! We reserve our Sunday for a 100% green family getaway. And why not in autumn? The back season is a delight to discover the natural treasures of the resort. The weather is still warm and the lights are always so beautiful…
It is decided, we take our bikes and we pedal towards the marsh of Yves. After a rural picnic, the natural reserve welcomes us for an initiation to the local fauna and flora.
Between two shots of binoculars, the birds gather there and prepare themselves to the migration in a little magic atmosphere…
