We go back to childhood with Les Bains des Fleurs!

Our Sunday ritual? To gather the whole family in Chatelaillon and to sit around the crêperie of my childhood: the Bain des Fleurs! The tradition is to come together by car from La Rochelle before settling down at our usual place, facing the sea. A greedy appointment which brings back nice memories, and which creates new ones!

From sea bathing to pancakes: a story that does not lack salt!

The beautiful days are back in the resort! Once is not customary, my parents joined us for our Sunday lunch under the châtelaillonnais sun. We stop for a moment in front of the blue facade of the Bains des Fleurs, as a wink to the softness of the seaside.

It is here that they already took me when I was small. So many memories!

By the way, here are Jerome and Marie, the owners of the place. They are almost friends now. They welcome us like kings and place us as usual on the terrace, facing the sea. We appreciate the attention!

While we sit down, Jérôme discusses with the former owners of the Bains des Fleurs, Mr. and Mrs. Verdier.

We dive into the deep end!

What will we take today? For me it will be a marissa and for Mister a Nordic. Dad and mom stay faithful to the gourmet while the little ones take the children’s menu.

A well kept secret

These buckwheat pancakes were a delight. No need to ask who wants dessert: everyone! We opt unanimously for THE classic of the house, the indestructible caramel butter salted pancake.

We tried to get the recipe, but impossible. Once served, it is a concert of “yum!” and “humm…”
